petrochemical industry produces several raw materials and semi-finished products that form the basis of synthetic substances and solvents. All these products substantially derived from the refining of crude oil.<\/p><p>The whole process begins with the drilling of the earth&#8217;s mantle to reach the crude oil fields, from here on the petroleum is extracted and conveyed in pipelines or stored in special tanks. In its natural state, petroleum has no practical uses, but from its refining fundamental materials for everyday life can be obtained, such as fuels that power most of our means of transport. The second production phase consists of separation of crude oil into its constituent components. This step runs in special factories called refineries, very complex industrial structures. The distillation of petroleum is the first step in the refining process. Resulting materials are, in broad terms, gas, gasoline, kerosene, diesel oil, oils and bitumen.<\/p><p>These products will be then processed by the petrochemical and chemical industry to be
