Mediante la frizione, \u00e8 possibile arrestare il veicolo senza dover fermare il propulsore per poi riavviarlo alla partenza, e al contempo \u00e8 possibile ottenere un trasferimento graduale della coppia.<\/p><p>La frizione, collegando fra loro due alberi che ruotano a differenti velocit\u00e0, consente di trasmettere il moto rotatorio mediante l\u2019<strong>attrito<\/strong> reciproco dei dischi. L\u2019innesto\/disinnesto della frizione pu\u00f2 avvenire per via meccanica, idraulica, pneumatica o elettrica.<\/p><p>Collocata tra il motore e il cambio, la frizione permette di disinserire momentaneamente la coppia motrice, selezionare l\u2019adeguato rapporto del cambio e disconnettere le ruote dal motore a veicolo fermo, mantenendo per\u00f2 in rotazione l\u2019albero motore.<\/p><p>Metalvar New ha sviluppato <strong>speciali rivestimenti capaci di sfruttare le reazioni di attrito<\/strong> dei dischi per <strong>migliorare lo stacco della frizione<\/strong> stessa.
